3D Avenger Cake

woohoooo..
two (2) 3D cakes orders in a row..

my dream really has come true
this time even harder because the cake was 3level
and the 3D cake was not only the ironman but also the hulk's hand and thor's hammer

and to season the drill
the base cake was started from 40cm, 30 cm, and finally 20cm

how grateful i am when Rollies said the lowest level can be dummy based

the order was a full of drum rolls
since the time was too close with the guitar cake
only a day apart

so then i recommend to have the same base cake
and to make this
i need 2pans of 30cm (height 4cm) cake
2pans of 20cm (height 4cm) cake
and 1pan of 30x30cmx8cm cake to make the Ironman head, hulk's hand and the thor's hammer

biggest issue was RAIN!
that day rain poured heavily
so i preprared loooottttsss of fan to dried the fondant..
fiuh...

and when the cake was deliver, so glad to know that Christopher the birthday boy likes it

3D Guitar Cake

Ever since i can bake,
i have been dreaming to make a 3D cake

its like my top acknowledgement of all
one of it is 3D Guitar Cake

Been making the templates and saving it for almost a year since i return to Jakarta
and finally the chance has come

a lovely girl named sandra just popped up and requested a 3D guitar cake for her baby brother
at first she asked me, i was thinking of an electric guitar
apparently she knew none of her brother's apple so she just assumed it will be an acoustic guitar instead

the order was a lot of fun to do
base cake was Steamed Brownies with Chocolate Chip Ganache Filling
so the taste is like Chocolate Mud

baked 3 recipes for this cake
and the result was the cake length is 100 centimeters!!!
therefore as you can see i took 2 cake plate and combine it by using a styrofoam
thanks GOD, got a help from Lily Tyucake for this

finished baking and delivering, and unfortunately Sandra's mother lost her mobile so we cant reach her and christopher found the cake first
so there goes the surprises..
i'm sorry San...
 
and i'm so delightful to have Sandra's testimony that the cake was great...

Beehive Cake

Dapat orderan dadakan itu rasanya "sesuatu" banget ya
apalagi kalo dadakannya itu hanya dalam hitungan jam

orderan kali ini termasuk dalam kategori tersebut
diorder pukul 21.30 WIB, untuk diambil pukul 10.00 WIB keesokan harinya
mintanya 3D cake pula, Full Fondant
Orderan "bunuh diri" namanya

tapi berhubung orderannya utk anniversary celebration
dan bakulannya juga jomblo
maka atas nama CINTA dan agar sang bakulan semakin enteng jodoh
orderan pun diterima.

customer si requestnya ga macem-macem
cuma bilang mau sesuatu yg unyu2

so, karena lebah adalah "sesuatu" bagi mereka
diputuskan mengambil tema Beehive
dan langsung di-approve
*iyalah langsung approved, kl pake mikir lama, gila aja tu customer, mau kelar jam berapa itu kuenyahhhhh..

Chocolate bikin happy!

Paling riweh kalo uda terima orderan dgn dekor coklat

biarpun sejuta umat bilang kalo coklat adalah bahan yg tidak terbuang karena selalu bisa di "reheat"
tetep aja, selalunya berlepotan, perlengkapan perangnya segabruk, de el el
de el el

tapi berkesempatan bisa maenan coklat bareng bareng temen-temen dari mercolade, bikin saya bisa bilang "chocolate bikin happy!"

KeroKeroKeroppi Cake

Dapat orderan birthday cake.
kebetulan beliau ini teman sekantor mantan pacar jaman kuliah dulu 
(see, ga ada salahnya membina hubungan baik dengan mantan pacar, sekalipun perpisahannya kelewat menyakitkan, bwahahahaha..)

customer ini minta dibuatkan cake untuk anak keduanya yang bernama Lauryn
yaitu cake kerokerokeroppi, si kodok ijo

tapi ga mau buttercream, ga mau fondan
karena ga terlalu doyan manis
dan bersedia bayar berapa aja

lah, piye toh..
yang ada bakulannya yg bingung

tapi demi spirit NCC yg pantang bilang nyerah, oke, challenge accepted!

searching sana-sini, kok banyakan fondan dan buttercream bongkar buku2 koleksi resep, ga nemu yg pas
akhirnya putar otak..
entah kenapa, yang diingat buku 60 resep anti gagal cake dan cookies dari NCC
dan ada cake ini

ini adalah cake pandan yg dilapisi dengan vla pandan
huahahahaha... *tertawa puas
akhirnya nemu deh kue yg pas
(ternyata jadi bakulan itu ga gampang loh sodara-sodara!)

berhubung si customer belom pernah makan,
jadi i can sense that se is also a bit worried

tapi Puji TUHAN, semua lancar
hiasan wajahnya terbuat dari coklat dan marshmallow

dan testimoni customer, yg berulang tahun puas banget..
kuenya juga enak dan lembut, manisnya pas
malah anaknya satu lagi yakni cicinya Lauryn, mau minta dibuatin doraemon cake untuk bulan september
